is based on the 2001 film of the same name. After a tryout in Seattle, the first Broadway production debuted in December 2008.
The run concluded after a year in January 2010. A national tour was kicked off shortly after its Broadway run. Since its premiere,
Shrek the Musical has been made available for independent overseas theaters, who have selected to stage their own versions
of the popular musical, beginning with the 2010 Israel theatrical production.
