Sigur Ros is a post-rock ambient band from Iceland who burst onto the music scene in the 1990s. The band strives to make audiences experience the beauty of their homeland through their music and style of play. Sigur Ros started in 1994 with Jonsi Birgisson, Georg Holm and Agust Gunnarsson. Keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson joined the band later and Orri Pall Dyrason replaced Gunnarsson as drummer.
