Silverstein formed in Ontario, Canada in 2000 as a side project, but with their hardcore emo punk sound soon gained a loyal following and great commercial success. They released their debut EP that year before the boys threw their full time projects away and made Silverstein the main event. 2002 saw their second EP and a record deal with Victory Records’ Chicago imprint.
