Born Saul Hudson in Stoke-on-Trent, England, the Guns N' Roses guitarist is better known as his stage name Slash, who grew up in Hollywood with his family. He joined members of the outfit Guns N' Roses in the '80s and took to the rock star image immediately. Though he had troubles with "Brownstone," Slash managed to remain a member of the rock group during their success, before turning toward other acts in the late '90s.
