Hailing from the Garden State, the Smithereens formed their rock band in 1980, comprised of members Pat DiNizio (vocals and guitar), Jim Babjak (guitar and vocals), Mike Mesaros (bass guitar and vocals), and Dennis Diken (drums and percussion). This lineup continued until 2006, when Mesaros left the band and Severo Jornacion replaced him on bass guitar. To date, the Smithereens have worked in the studio with great acts such as Suzanne Vega and Belinda Carlisle, and performed live alongside the likes of Graham Parker and The Kinks.
