The Schedule in 2013
The Southern Methodist Mustangs are ready to trample all over the competition in what should
be yet another exciting season of college football. The Mustangs are looking to rise in the ranks of the NCAA in 2013, and
they may just have enough talent and drive to make it happen this season. The Mustangs have a plethora of great matchups on
their home schedule this season, making it a great year to be a SMU football fan.
The Mustangs host the Connecticut
Huskies on November 16th in what should be a fantastic game to see in person. The Huskies are certainly not to be taken lightly,
as they've always got a roster flush with talented playmakers that are ready to do whatever they can to take home a victory.
The Mustangs will have other plans for the Huskies at Gerald Ford Stadium, though, and if they can execute their game plan
there is no reason that the Huskies won't be heading back north with a loss.
The Mustangs will close out their home
schedule on December 7th when they take on the Knights of Central Florida in what should be a great contest between two teams
that will be laying everything on the line. Both of these teams will certainly need this win as the season closes out, and
the more fans there are in the stands supporting the Mustangs the better chance they have to win.
Southern Methodist Mustangs are a Division I football program in the NCAA. The team used to compete in Conference USA but
switched to the American Athletic Association (AAC) between last season and this year. The Mustangs fared pretty well in their
final season in Conference USA, notching a winning overall record, as well as a conference mark above.500. The Mustangs are
eager to get acquainted with their new surroundings in the AAC, and new rivalries are to develop quickly. The AAC is a very
good conference that features a number of quality programs that are always putting tough teams on the field. Southern Methodist
has high hopes for the 2013 season, and is looking to make its mark on the conference immediately. With a ton of talent all
throughout the roster, this could be the year the Mustangs race to the top of the standings.
is nothing better than seeing a sporting event live and in person. Sports have been a part of cultures around the world for
a very long time, and spectators have always enjoyed watching athletes compete at the highest of levels. When you're there
in the stands at a sporting event like this one, you're treated to seeing some of the most talented athletes in the entire
world going head to head with everything on the line. There's nothing that compares to the atmosphere at a game, where you're
surrounded by fans that are all there to enjoy a great spectacle of sport.
Fans of college athletics bring an intensity
to the table that is paralleled by very few pro sports fans. There's something about the top level of amateur competition
that really gets the crowd going. College football fans carve out their entire Saturday to celebrate all that comes with the
game. These diehards are up early and off to the stadium parking lot for tailgating before the game. Once inside the stadium,
they can be heard screaming their heads off for their favorite team to come out on top. It's a real thrill to be in the stands
when the star player takes it into the end zone for the win.
When you head out for a big football game you're sure to
experience all that comes with a gridiron clash. The parking lot at the stadium will be filled with people gearing up for
the big game, grilling up some grub and sipping on a few beverages as well. It's all one big lead up to the main event, which
is the game itself. It's all one great experience that really takes an entire day to appreciate, and you can be a part of
it all when you head to a game.
The American Athletic Conference (AAC) is one of the better
football conferences in the nation each and every season. The AAC features such programs as the Central Florida Knights, Cincinnati
Bearcats, Connecticut Huskies, Houston Cougars, Louisville Cardinals, Memphis Tigers, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, South Florida
Bulls, Temple Owls and South Methodist Mustangs. This conference is extremely competitive on an annual basis, and often boasts
some of the most talented players in the NCAA ranks.
Where do the Southern Methodist Mustangs play
their home games?
The answer is Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas, TX. The Mustangs have called this stadium home since
