Originally formed in 1989 as Solid State, following internal changes the group renamed themselves Snapcase in 1991 after two LP's. After just two demos and another year of recording Snapcase signed to Chicago's Victory Records and appeared with their 7 inch "Comatose." With promotions throughout the States like appearances at the Vans Warped Tour and opening for the Deftones, Snapcase got commercial exposure by the mid '90s.
