Snoop Dogg tickets - Snoop Dogg Tour

Snoop Dogg Tour Dates

Snoop Dogg has been one of the most popular rappers in the world for more than two decades. He is constantly experimenting with new sounds, and occasionally reinventing himself entirely. One thing that remains constant is the quality of music Snoop regularly produces. From his debut on Dr. Dre's The Chronic album to 2013's Reincarnated, Snoop Dogg has released hip hop classic after hip hop classic and always delivered top notch live performances to sold out crowds dancing and rapping along. As his star has grown his stage productions have become even more elaborate and his live shows are spectacles not to be missed filled with hip hop classics that even the most casual rap fan knows.

Snoop Dogg has a few dates lined up in 2014, the first being a March 11th show at Emo's in Austin, Texas. Following that Snoop will be playing two shows with Wiz Khalifa one on April 19th at WaMu Theater in Seattle, and the other at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Snoop has already collaborated on one album with Wiz Khalifa and the pair are set to release another album sometime in 2014 so these performances will be filled not only with jams from their first work together but also with some new songs fans can expect to find on the upcoming album. On May 2nd Snoop Dogg will perform at the Beale Street Music Festival at Tom Lee Park in Memphis, Tennessee. If Snoop Dogg does not have any dates lined up near you be sure to keep checking back on StubHub to see when he will be adding more dates.

About the Artist

Snoop Dogg has become a true icon in the music industry and is immediately recognizable even to people who have never heard his music. Born Calvin Broadus in Long Beach, California, his parents took to calling him Snoopy when he was growing up because of his facial resemblance to the popular comic strip dog. As a teenager Snoop Dogg recorded demos with his cousins Lil 1/2 Dead, Nate Dogg, and their friend Warren G under the name 213, which is the Long Beach area code. Snoop also recorded his own freestyle demos one of which landed in the hands of Dr. Dre who immediately had Snoop come and audition for him. Soon Snoop and Dre were teaming up to make the theme song for the movie Deep Cover. This was only the beginning as the two would also pair up for several songs on Dr. Dre's classic album The Chronic which thrust Snoop Dogg into the national spotlight. This was the peak of West Coast G-Funk style hip hop and Dre and Snoop were the pioneers. By the time Snoop Dogg had readied his debut album Doggystyle he had millions of fans waiting to get their hands on it. This was also the time of gangsta rap and the East Coast/West Coast feud, but Snoop managed to set himself apart from that despite being signed to the notorious label Death Row Records, because he often came across as soft spoken in interviews and seemed more jovial and childlike than his contemporaries who were always trying to maintain a tough guy front. Since 1993's Doggystyle, Snoop has released eleven more albums: Tha Doggfather, Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told, No Limit Top Dogg,Tha Last Meal, Paid tha Cost to Be da Boss, R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, Ego Trippin',Malice n Wonderland, Doggumentary, and 2013's reggae album Reincarnated which he recorded under Snoop Lion. Snoop Dogg remains active in the studio and on the road and has appeared at big time festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo as well as toured and collaborated with other big name artists. He has appeared in several movies and television shows, usually in cameo appearances or supporting roles and has even started his own youth football team.

Fate was clearly on young Calvin Broadus' side when he decided to freestyle over the song "Hold On by En Vogue" which was put on a mixtape that made it to Dr. Dre. This was the big break that Snoop Dogg had been hoping for and when Dre invited a teen aged Snoop to audition in his studio, the young rapper nailed it. This was the start of a fruitful partnership that would begin with the theme song to Deep Cover, and remain strong to this day with the two performing together at the 2012 Coachella festival in front of tens of thousands of fans in the California desert.

The Experience

You have been waiting for months, if not years, for this night to come and finally as the lights lower you begin to see Snoop Dogg making his way out onto the stage. The crowd erupts in applause as the talented performer approaches the mic. A hush falls over the crowd as Snoop Dogg thanks them and launches into a fan favorite like "Gin and Juice", "Who Am I (What's My Name)?", "Beautiful", "Snoops Upside Your Head", or "Drop It Like It's Hot". The crowd once again erupts and sings and dances along to hits throughout the night. Snoop Dogg is a veteran performer who definitely knows his way around the stage and how to work a crowd, this will be evident from the moment he hits the stage until the second he steps off accompanied by the cheers of thousands of fans. The high energy output from Snoop Doggand his touring group translates perfectly to the crowd and you spend the entire night dancing and singing along.

Snoop Dogg is the first musical artists to release a song as a ringtone prior to the single being released. He did this in 2007 for his single It's the D.O.G.

Kool Moe Dee listed Snoop as the 33rd greatest rapper of all tie in his book There's a God on the Mic.

Snoop Dogg appeared at Wrestlemani XXIV where he served as the M.C. for a tag team match between Ashley and Maria Massaro and Melina and Beth Phoenix.
