South Carolina Gamecocks Schedule in 2013-14

The South Carolina Gamecocks are ready to hit the court this season to take on all comers that think they can visit Colonial Life Arena and leave with a victory. The Gamecocks have some really talented student-athletes on the team this season, and fans are hoping that such talent can result on some big wins on the hardwood in 2013-14. The Gamecocks call the Southeast Conference home, one of the toughest leagues in college hoops. That means that each season South Carolina is faced with a tough home schedule, in 2013-14 is no different. The Gamecocks didn't have a great season in 2012-13, as they struggled in conference play, and the team is looking to change that this time around. The Gamecocks have some huge matchups coming their way this season, and fans of the team are ready to pack the stands and cheer their hearts out for their beloved South Carolina athletes. This should be an exciting season of Gamecocks hoops, one filled with excellent matchups that any fan would want to catch in person.

South Carolina has a tough matchup coming to Colonial Life Arena on March 1st when the Kentucky Wildcats arrive. The Wildcats are one of the most talented teams in the entire nation, and a real threat to make some serious waves in the SEC this season. The Wildcats feature one of the top players in the country in forward Julius Randle, who can score inside better than any other player the Gamecocks will encounter in 2013-14. Stopping Randle will be priority number one for the Gamecocks, but the Wildcats have plenty of other potent weapons. A win in this contest would be a huge one for the Gamecocks, and this contest is sure to be well-attended.

The Gamecocks finish out their home schedule three days later when the host the Florida Gators. The Gators could very well be the best teams in the SEC this season, as they finished atop the conference standings in 2012-13. The Gators always have some of the best athletes in the country, and this season is no different. To take down the Gators in front of their home fans to close out the season would be a major coup for the Gamecocks.
