Back packs, large purses and hard-sided coolers of any size are prohibited inside Spartan Stadium, as are glass containers, aluminum cans and any alcoholic beverages. Weapons of any kind are not permitted on the premises (including off-duty police weapons). Other prohibited items include fireworks, aerosol cans, animals (except service animals), bicycles, frisbees, beach balls, air horns, scooters, roller skates of any type and umbrellas.

FROM SOUTHBOUND 101, exit at Story (west), turn right onto Story, turn left onto Senter, turn right onto Alma. FROM SOUTHBOUND 87, exit at Alma, turn left on Alma. FROM NORTHBOUND 17, exit onto 280 southbound, exit onto Route 87 (Guadalupe Parkway) southbound, exit Alma, turn left on Alma. FROM SOUTHBOUND 880, exit onto 101 southbound, exit at Story (west), turn right onto Story, turn left onto Senter, turn right onto Alma. FROM SOUTHBOUND 680, 680 will become 280 Northbound at the 101 interchange, exit 10th Street, turn left onto 10th Street. FROM NORTHBOUND 101, exit at Tully, turn right onto Senter, turn left onto Alma. FROM NORTHBOUND 87, exit at Curtner, turn right onto Curtner, turn left on 7th Street or 10th Street.

There is a wide variety of places to park for events at Spartan Stadium. For SJSU athletic events, the stadium parking lot charges $20 for regular sized vehicles and $30 for tailgate parking. The charge is $40 for buses / RV / Over-sized vehicles, $60 for tailgate parking. For non-SJSU events, the fee is $15 for regular sized vehicles and $30 for buses/over-sized vehicles. Several additional lots are also available for patron parking. Lot 1 is located at 7th Street across from the west gate entrance (between Alma and Humbolt). Lot 5 is located at 10th Street directly in front of the east gate entrance (between Alma and Humbolt). Lot 6 is located at 10th Street across from the east gate entrance (between Alma and Humbolt).

Spartan Stadium is a 30,000-seat stadium and home to Western Athletic Conference (WAC) action involving the San Jose State Spartan football team and the men’s and women’s soccer teams. The venue often hosts non-sporting events as well, such as concerts, circuses and car shows. Other sporting events, such as boxing and volleyball, can be seen in this venue as well. Spartan Stadium is considered to be one of the premier venues in the area.
