Split Lip Rayfield formed in Wichita, Kansas in 1998 as a trio, taking their name from a real person the band's bassist
knew growing up in Missouri. Split Lip Rayfield released an eponymous album via Bloodshot that same year and became a quartet
before 1999's In the Mud. Although guitarist Kirk Rundstrom passed away in 2007, the band carries on in his memory
