2014 St. Louis Rams Schedule

The St. Louis Rams are ready to hit the field and take on some of the best opponents that the National Football League has to offer, bringing a steady string of big-time challenges and exciting opportunities as the Rams look to make some waves in the toughest division in football. It's never exactly easy in the same division as the Cardinals, Seahawks and 49ers, but the Rams have a reputation of having one of the toughest defenses in the league and an offense that has some explosive playmakers on offense as well, giving fans plenty of reasons for optimism for the 2014 season. Whether you're looking for a huge home game against a divisional rival or an out-of-town matchup against a cross-conference powerhouse, the schedule is sure to have a little something for everyone once again his season.

Though there are lots of big games this season, one of the most talked about early-season matchups happens to be at home against Dallas, as the Cowboys' potent offense will be a nice test for the Rams' staunch defense. Arguably the jewel of the home schedule, however, will happen on Oct. 13, as the Rams will take on the Niners in a Monday Night matchup that is sure to have more than its fair share of fanfare at Edward Jones Dome leading up to the opening kick-off. A home game against the high-flying Broncos on Nov. 16 is another game that will have the attention of fans, as will home games against the defending champion Seahawks (Oct. 19) and division rival Cardinals (Dec. 11).

You can't forget about the road games either, as making the Rams a centerpiece of a road trip is something that every fan needs to do sooner or later. An Oct. 26 matchup in Kansas City is sure to have plenty of Rams' fans in the stands, as will games in San Francisco (Nov. 2), Arizona (Nov. 9) and Seattle (Dec. 28). Put it all together and the schedule is bursting with possibilities both home and on the road, as this is a team that has all types of potential as they look to power past injuries and make their mark on the NFC West.

St. Louis Rams Team Info

The St. Louis Rams are looking to make a big leap this season in the ranks of the NFC, and they had a very good draft in the offseason, which should greatly help their cause. The Rams had the second overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, and used that pick to select stout offensive tackle Greg Robinson out of Auburn. The Rams also had the 13th pick in the draft, which they used on defensive tackle Aaron Donald, a player expected by many to go in the top 10 and should provide some additional pressure on opposing offenses. With an exciting rookie class added to the mix, the talented Rams get only more explosive, which should equate to some great football as the Rams look to take another step forward.

Of course, the big story heading into the season was another injury to Sam Bradford, the extremely talented quarterback who simply can't catch a break at this point. While the fans back his recover, the quarterbacking duties turn to Shaun Hill, a savvy veteran who will slide under center and look to do more of what he showed in Detroit with the Lions as the backup o Mathew Stafford. Hill also has some serious weapons around him, with Zac Stacy emerging as one of the best running backs in the league and a well-rounded receiving corps that is looking to take a leap forward as a unit. Though Rams' fans are obviously disappointed with Bradford going down again, this is a team that has too much talent to quit and the rest of the NFC West knows better than to take the Rams lightly this season.

Fan Experience

The National Football League is the top sports league in the United States of America, boasting a wide fan base that spans across the entire country. The NFL features some of the best athletes in the entire world battling it out on the gridiron, and fans can see them live and in person when they head to a game. These players are dedicated to being the best that they possibly can be, and that shows then they hit the field. There's also a wonderful sense of camaraderie that comes with seeing a game in the stadium, and that's something you can't duplicate on a large scale like that by watching the game from home. You can count on Edward Jones Dome to be absolutely rocking throughout the regular season once again this year, providing the perfect backdrop for all of the top Rams' matchups on the schedule.

St. Louis Rams History

Rams football tickets hit the St. Louis sports tickets market for the first time in 1995 after the team moved from Los Angeles and they've been in the middle of plenty of big games since then. The Rams won their first Super Bowl after the 1999 season with one of the most explosive offenses in the league, thanks to Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk and Isaac Bruce. Other great players like Jim Everett, Aeneas Williams, Henry Ellard, Steven Jackson, Orlando Pace, Eric Dickerson and more have played some of their best seasons for this franchise, and you never know when you're going to see the next all-time great burst onto the scene. With the Rams looking to get back into the mix in arguably the toughest division in football, there has never been a better time to be a Rams' backer.

St. Louis Rams Trivia

In what year did the Rams win their first NFC title?

The answer is 1979. The franchise has since added two more conference crowns, the most recent coming in the 2001 season when they made it all the way to the Super Bowl.
