The band formed in 1996, slowly cultivating a following until 2001, when infamous British DJ John Peel brought them to wider acclaim. The band received rave reviews for their 2002 album Biggest Bluest Hi-Fi, which served as a major debut in the wider alternative scene. 2003’s Underachievers, Please Try Harder and 2006’s Let’s Get Out of This Country broadened their fan base further.
