Blink 182 started out in the suburbs of San Diego in 1993, and released their debut album, Buddha, the following year. Blink 182's third album, Dude Ranch, was released in 1997 and set their career in full swing. The record went platinum by the end of the year, riding high on the success of the single "Dammit (Growing Up)."
After securing their roles as the preeminent pop-punk rockers in the ‘90s, the band became national superstars in the early ‘00s, releasing a self-titled best-of in 2003 before breaking up.
