Stanley Clarke grew up in Pennsylvania and learned to play the accordion when he was young went from learning the violin to the bass. In high school, he played with R&B and rock bands but it wasn't until he moved to New York that he got into jazz and started playing with Pharoah Sanders. Clarke really got noticed in the band Return To Forever and now his back again to play more music live and you can buy tickets to be there.
