The band was formed in the early 1970's, and they released six albums between 1972 - 1978. Each of these albums reached the Top 40 on the US Album charts, and Aja, their 1977 release, climbed to number 3. Their 1980 release, Gaucho, was their last studio collaboration for 20 years. Steely Dan is renowned for their perfectionist tendencies, and those who secure Steely Dan tickets will not only be entertained, but will also be witness to a technically sound performance.
