Steve Miller was born in Milwaukee in 1947 but attended high school is Dallas, where he became friends with Bozz Scaggs, with whom he has worked with continuously over the years. After Miller taught Scaggs how to play the guitar, the duo formed the Steve Miller Band in 1968 when Miller graduated from the University of Wisconsin and the rest is music history.
