Developed from the creative minds of Steve McNicholas and Luke Cresswell in Brighton, United Kingdom, Stomp is a product
of a decade-long collaboration between McNicholas and Cresswell. The original Stomp show debuted in 1991, introducing the
unique percussion group's style to the world. Between 1991 and 1994, the cast took Stomp on the road, which culminated in
a season at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, where Stomp garnered an Olivier nomination for the Best Entertainment Award
and earned Best Choreography Award in a West End show. In 1994, the show also won an Obie Award and a Drama Desk Award for

Besides the notable theater production, Stomp was also translated into the Mr. Frears' Ears series of short films for Nickelodeon.
Adapted from the opening routine of Stomp, Brooms is a 15-minute short flick that was nominated for an Academy Award. Brooms
was also chosen for screening at the Sundance Festival and for a competition at the Cannes Film Festival. Stomp Out Loud was
another product cultivated from the Stomp theater production. This 45-minute TV special for HBO blended stage material with
original material developed for TV. It made its way to the U.S. in December 1997 and landed four Emmy Award nominations for
sound, direction, art direction, multi-camera editing and sound mixing. Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey, an IMAX movie, was released
in 2002 and also took home two awards from the La Geode's film festival in Paris. Two years later, the film received the IMAX
