The history of Stubb's Bar-B-Q's namesake is nearly as captivating as the music that comes to take the stage here. The restaurant is named after the restaurant's founder, C.B. Stubblefield. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a Texas native who opened his first restaurant in Lubbock. The Lubbock restaurant eventually closed, but Stubb's cuisine lives on at Stubb's Bar-B-Q in Austin.
