Hailing from Long Beach, California, Sublime released its debut album in 1992. The band didn't break into the mainstream, however, until its self-titled, major-label debut arrived in 1996. Sadly, Sublime's lead singer died not long after the album became a hit. Sublime would eventually achieve triple-platinum status and the band released a string of posthumous releases into the 2000s.
