Containers, coolers, signs, banners, flags, umbrellas, video cameras, food, beverages, alcohol, drugs, pets, laser pointers, weapons, fireworks, strollers and whistles are not allowed. Bags of a reasonable size are allowed but are subject to search. Still photography is permitted from your seat. Smoking is not allowed in the stadium.

From Las Cruces, take I-10 East to Executive Center exit, exit 16. Turn left on Executive Center Boulevard. Turn right on Mesa Street and then right onto Sun Bowl Drive. You can also take the Schuster Avenue/University of Texas at El Paso exit off of I-10 East, which is exit 18A. The Sun Bowl Stadium is visible from there.

The Sun Bowl Stadium features limited parking. There is reserved parking available close to the stadium for Captain s Club ticket holders. Public parking is located at Sun Bowl Drive between Don Haskins Center and Mesa Street, on the inner campus off University Avenue, in the Rudolph parking lot on Mesa Street and on side streets and neighborhoods close to campus.

The idea for the Sun Bowl was first birthed in 1935, when a game was hosted to raise money for local sporting events. The first collegiate game at the Sun Bowl was played the next year. The Sun Bowl Stadium was first built in 1963 after the Sun Bowl had played at other locations. Since then, the stadium has been renovated multiple times.
