Sunday in the Country Trivia
Which of this
year's performers learned how to play guitar while recovering from a serious injury?
After going under reconstructive
surgery due to a wakeboarding accident, musician Jake Owen taught himself to play the guitar while he was recovering. He eventually
started performing in local bars, and then later moved to the "Music City" itself, Nashville, Tennessee. While opening up
an account at the bank, Jake informed the bank teller that he was a musician, and he gave her a copy of his CD. She forwarded
it to the Warner/Chappell Music record label, but he eventually inked a deal with RCA Nashville.
