first Sunshine Music & Blues Festival took place in 2013. It called to the blues fans of the Boca Raton area and they
showed up in droves to see some of their favorite groups perform live. Although there some inclement weather threatened to
put the music on hold, the show went on and not even the weather could dampen the spirits of the music fans who showed up
for the event. Legends like New Orleans native Dr. John brought the house down with his intense set. His wild look and voodoo
charm made him even more of a spectacle to behold. Other artists like Matt Schofield and veteran guitarist Joe Louis Walker
also took the stage, giving fans a taste of the blues-rock they came to hear. Then there was the headliners—the Tedeschi
Trucks Band—who were every bit of the headlining act they were billed as. They brought an electric vibe to the traditional
blues-rock genre, which made for a memorable concert experience.
This year's festival promises to be just as exciting,
with the Tedeschi Trucks Band headlining once more. And with addition of other amazing acts like Galactic, Hot Tuna and The
Ringers, the two-day festival of intense music and all of the most delicious local cuisine you could ask for will be an experience
At last year's star-studded Sunshine Music & Blues Festival, fans were treated
to three days of amazing music and memorable appearances from some of their favorite artists. Fans were so devoted to the
artists and to the festival, that they even trekked through mud and inclement weather to be a part of the event. They showed
up to watch blues rockers, funk jam bands and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers caked with dirt and ready to rock. Despite the
less-than-ideal conditions, fans didn't seem to mind. They were right there, rocking out to every song as if it really were
a "sunshine" music festival.
