Tampa Bay Buccaneers Schedule

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Schedule - Buccaneers Schedule

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Schedule

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ready to take on all comers this season as they vie for the NFC South title. The NFC South is no cakewalk right now, but this Bucs team has a lot of weapons that they're hoping to unleash on the rest of the National Football League in 2014. The Bucs will have to play well against their division rivals, especially the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. The Panthers won the division in 2013 thanks to a fantastic defense and a matured Cam Newton, but they're certainly not unbeatable. The Bucs will have two chances to prove that this season. The Saints may be a tougher matchup in some ways, as they have one of the top offensive units in the National Football League. With Drew Brees running the show, it's sure to be another big year for the New Orleans offense, and the Bucs will look to their secondary and pass rush to make things difficult for the Saints.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Team Info

With a bevy of great players throughout their history and some unbelievable seasons that fans are still talking about, the Bucs have a prominent franchise that has a large fan base for a reason, and it definitely isn't because of a lack of excitement. This is a squad that's clearly on the rise in the NFC with some of the brightest stars of both today and tomorrow, making them a team to watch once again this year as they look to make it happen. Tickets toBucs v. Falconsare some of the hottest items around town, though there are plenty of other amazing matchups that you know you'll want to be a part of this season.

The Bucs are rebuilding right now, but that does not mean they'll be bad in 2014. The team struggled early in 2013 but seemed to find some semblance of a rhythm later in the year. Still, the organization felt the need to make a coaching change, as well as some major roster alterations. Tampa Bay's offseason moves have received a lot of praise, and the team has high hopes for the 2014 campaign. The Bucs are looking forward to seeing running back Doug Martin back on the field this season, as he went down with an injury in 2013 and missed multiple games. Martin will look to find the kind of success that he had during his rookie season and become one of the top backs in the National Football League.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Trivia

Who did Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Mike Glennon supplant as the starter for the North Carolina State Wolfpack when he was in college?

The answer is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who led Seattle to a Super Bowl victory after the 2013 season. Glennon's presence forced Wilson to transfer to Wisconsin for his final collegiate season, and it worked out well for both Glennon and Wilson, as both played well and went on to be drafted in the National Football League.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers History

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were founded back in 1976 when they joined the National Football League as an expansion organization and experienced a lot of difficult years early in the team's history. However, things turned around eventually with the hiring of head coach Tony Dungy, who turned the Tampa Bay defense into one of the best in the league. The Bucs would eventually win Super Bowl XXXVII under the leadership of head coach Jon Gruden, who had luckily coached the Oakland Raiders, the Bucs' Super Bowl opponent, the year prior. The Bucs are looking to capture the Vince Lombardi Trophy yet again, something that would thrill their fans.
