The Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Schedule in 2014

Coming off of a frustrating 2013 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming right back with another talented squad that has aspirations of making a big move up the NFC South standings, though that's never easy thanks to teams like the Panthers, Saints and the Falcons. The South is actually one of the very best divisions in football these days, which is why it's always a good idea to put down the remote and make sure that you head out to see them the way they were meant to be seen. The schedule is packed, the players are ready to roll and the fans will be pouring into the stands at Raymond James Stadium to get right in the thick of the action.

The schedule in 2014 looks awfully exciting. In addition to those tough teams in the division all coming to Florida, the Buccaneers will host the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Bengals among others. There is nothing quite like being there for a highly anticipated NFL game, particularly when it's a team like the Bucs who are clearly looking to make a big push back up the standings. Playmakers like Vincent Jackson are about as good as it gets in the passing game and the Bucs have a young roster bursting with talent, pointing to a very bright future as they look to give their fans another exhilarating season of twists, turns and nail-biting moments that everyone will be buzzing about around town.


The Team

The Buccaneers started the offseason with a bang by new coach in Lovie Smith, who knows a thing or two about playing winning defense and guiding a team to the Super Bowl. With a bevy of great players throughout their history and some unbelievable seasons that fans are still talking about, the Bucs have a prominent franchise that has a large fan base for a reason, and it definitely isn't because of a lack of excitement. This is a squad that's clearly on the rise in the NFC with some of the brightest stars of both today and tomorrow, making them a team to watch once again this year as they look to make it happen. Thanks to talent on both sides of the ball, the Bucs are sure to give the rest of the teams in the NFC South a run for their money as they look to cruise through their schedule piling up the wins.


The Experience

Spectator sports have obviously changed a bit since the early days of Roman chariot racing, and there are plenty of options out there these days for sports fans, but it doesn't get any more exciting than football played at its highest possible level. Do you know that Darrelle Revis became just the second Buc in history to win the Comeback Player of the Year Award?

Darrelle Revis was known not that long ago as arguably the very best cornerback in the league, and he reminded everyone in 2013 why that is when he shut down wideouts all year long. With the Comeback Player of the Year Award, Revis joined wideout Antonio Bryant as the only other Buc in history to pull it off, simultaneously reminding receivers and offensive coordinators alike that it's still not a good idea to test him in the passing game. Revis Island is alive and well.


History

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers joined the league in 1976 and experienced a lot of tough years early in the team's history. However, things turned around eventually with the hiring of head coach Tony Dungy, who turned the Tampa Bay defense into one of the best in the league. The Bucs would eventually win Super Bowl XXXVII under the leadership of head coach Jon Gruden, who led the team to victory over the Raiders. These days, the Bucs are in another exciting era of football that has fans buzzing about seeing them get back into the playoff mix, providing plenty of reasons to get out and see them up close and personal alongside tens of thousands of fans as they take aim at the top of the division.

Raymond James Stadium is always packed to the brim with excited fans who know a thing or two about showing vocal support, giving you the perfect backdrop for a huge game that you know you'll be talking about long after it's all over. Put down the remote and get out to see some of the best athletes in the world as they clash on the gridiron in front of thousands upon thousands of passionate fans who routinely show up to provide the home-field advantage. Though 2013 was mostly a year to forget, hope springs eternal in the Tampa area, and the Bucs have another talented squad that will have fans buzzing all over town.
