TCU Horned Frogs Football Schedule
Each year as the start of the college football season approaches the level of
excitement in Fort Worth, Texas grows and grows, and for good reason as it is home to the TC Horned Frogs one of the most
dynamic teams in all of college football. The Horned Frogs should be able to break through in their third year in the Big
12 based on what spring ball had to show. The Horned Frogs will clearly benefit from the return of Devonte Fields who showed
no lingering concerns from the injury that kept him out of most of the 2013 season after being named the 2012 Big 12 Defensive
Player of the Year. One of the most interesting aspects of spring ball was the emergence of an intriguing battle for starting
quarterback. The Horned Frogs have two incoming freshmen quarterbacks who will battle with senior transfer Matt Joeckel and
incumbent Trevone Boykin both of whom had impressive workouts. The offensive line and defensive backs, both which had been
areas of concern last season, also showed marked improvement and could end up being areas of strength by the time TCU is ready
for the regular season to start. The Big 12 is full of important games against the likes of Texas, Baylor, Oklahoma State,
and Oklahoma so TCU will definitely have their hands full as the regular season gets underway and they will be looking for
all of the fan support they can get for games in Fort Worth.
The home Big 12 schedule gets underway at Amon G. Carter
Stadium on October 4th when the Oklahoma Sooners take on the TCU Horned Frogs. The Sooners finished in second in the Big 12
last season, just a game out of first place and a victory against them could go a long way in showing that the Horned Frogs
will be a force to be reckoned with in 2014. On October 18th the Oklahoma State Cowboys arrive in Fort Worth in yet another
huge Big 12 match up. This is one more chance for the Horned Frogs to get a big home win against a team considered one of
the best in the Big 12. The final home game of the season will be held on December 6th and will feature the TCU Horned Frogs
against the Iowa State Cyclones. Last year both teams finished with an identical conference record and this game could end
up having a huge impact on the final Big 12 standings. The TCU Horned Frogs will also take on Samford, Minnesota, Texas Tech,
and Kansas State at Amon G. Carter Stadium this season. Pick out the games you want to attend and get your tickets from StubHub
to show the Horned Frogs your support.
It has no been all smooth sailing for the Horned Frogs
since joining the Big 12 but now with two seasons under their belt TCU appears ready to leave their mark on the conference.
The defense appears to be considerably improved with the secondary having an excellent showing in spring ball and the return
of defensive end Devonte Fields from injury. The Horned Frogs have quite a few capable quarterbacks on their roster and whoever
ends up being the starter should end up with plenty of time in the pocket behind a drastically improved offensive line. Get
out to Amon G. Carter Stadium this year to cheer the Horned Frogs on to a memorable third season in the Big 12.
Since arriving in the Big 12 two seasons ago the level of excitement surrounding TCU home games has been
even higher than before as fans know that they will need to give the Horned Frogs a considerable home field advantage as they
battle through a tough regular season schedule. Cheering for your alma mater or favorite school and watching the student athletes
lay it all on the line for school pride and a shot at playing at the next level is one of the most intense feelings in all
of sports. College football fans plan their entire Saturday to celebrate everything that comes with the game. These hard core

Horned Frogs Big 12 Football
The Horned Frogs play in the Big 12 Conference, a traditional football powerhouse that
annually features some of the most exciting games in all of the sport. The first Big 12 conference football game took place
in 1996 and since 2012 it has played a nine game round-robin style regular season which determines a champion rather than
using a championship game as some other conferences do. The traditional powerhouses in the conference include Baylor, Texas,
Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State but every team in the conference is solid and capable of beating any other team.
Baylor enter the 2014 season as the defending champs but this season should be as close of a battle as last year's was and
anyone could end up on top of the conference standings.
The TCU Horned Frogs have produced several
notable players who went on to great success in the NFL. Two former players have gone on to be inducted to the NFL Hall of
Fame, Sammy Baugh and Bib Lilly, and it is only a matter of time before 2006 NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson becomes the third.
