TCU Horned Frogs Football Team
The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs have a storied football program that
began all the way back in 1896. The golden age of the Horned Frogs began in 1935, when Head Coach Dutch Meyer took over the
program, winning the program's first National Championship back in 1935 and then another in 1938 when the team notched it
first undefeated season. The 1938 Horned Frog team was led by the legendary Davey O'Brien, the program's only Heisman Trophy
winner. In more recent times, the football program has enjoyed much success beginning with Head Coach Dennis Franchione in
1998, who led the Horned Frogs to an improbable victory over the USC Trojans in the 1998 Sun Bowl. Maybe the most famous of
all the modern day Horned Frogs is running back and 2014 inductee into the College Hall of Fame, LaDainian Tomlinson. Tomlinson
was one of the most dominant running backs in college football and currently ranks 6th in college football history with 5,263
career rushing years. The current Horned Frogs team is led by quarterback Trevone Boykin, who will take over the huddle full
time now that Casey Pachall is playing professionally for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. The 2014
Horned Frogs are looking to retool and rebound from a down 2013 season where tough injuries slowed them down all season long.

few uncharacteristic down seasons, with new coach Charlie Strong, who takes over for legendary coach Mack Brown. 2014 looks
