John Theodore "Teddy" Geiger II was born on September 16, 1988 in Buffalo, New York. Geiger got into music early, as he learned the piano at six years old and the guitar by the time he was eight. He wrote his first song at 10, and has been growing in stature ever since. Geiger got his first break when he appeared on VH1's television series "In Search of the Partridge Family," and that led to his first release, the EP Step Ladder in 2005. His first studio release, Underage Thinking, debuted at number eight on the charts.
