About the Artist
Born in Alberta Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1980, twins Tegan and Sara Quin
were musically-gifted from an early age. At 15, the two were already writing and performing their own songs. And by the time
they were 19, they had already released their first independent full-length album. Their first professional musical endeavor
sparked the interest of Neil Young's iconic manager, Elliot Roberts, who signed the singers to his LA-based label, Vapor Records.
They soon released another album and began touring internationally. In the years to come they would appear on the Late Show
with David Letterman, and perform with big name artists like Neil Young. The sisters' third album yielded six song placements
on Grey's Anatomy and a US radio hit with "Walking With a Ghost." Their next albums were critically-acclaimed and their albumThe
Con, was nominated for a Juno Award and Polaris Award for its unique style and addition of a three-volume, self-published
book set that chronicled a year in the life of Tegan and Sara in words and pictures.
