Tennessee Titans Road Games

Tennessee Titans Road Games tickets

Tennessee Titans Road Schedule in 2014

The Tennessee Titans are ready to dwarf their opponents on the field this season as they take to the road to match up with some of the best squads in the National Football League. The Titans had an up-and-down season in 2013, mostly due to an injury to starting quarterback Jake Locker. Locker looked to be breaking out in a big way last season before going down with an injury, though backup veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick filled in admirably in Locker's stead. The team did see some of the Chris Johnson of old, as he looked fresher and quicker down the stretch than he had over the previous couple of seasons. Defensively the Titans are a work in progress, but the unit has shown signs of progress. This team was not able to make the postseason last year, but they are hopeful that they can get the job done this time around. With some exciting match-ups on the road this season, Titans fans are ready to head out to stadiums all over the nation to witness the best games of the season.

The Titans will head to Indianapolis this season to take on the Colts, who were able to take home the division title in 2013. With youngster Andrew Luck under center, the Colts have quickly turned things around since finishing with the worst record in the league just a couple of short years ago. The Colts have shown that a reversal of fortune can come swiftly in the National Football League, and the Titans are hoping to do just that this season. If they can defeat the Colts in Indiana, then that would signal that they could be ready to contend for a playoff spot in the AFC.

Tennessee Titans Team Info

The Tennessee Titans got off to a fine start in 2013, winning three of their first four contests. However, that would be the high point of the season, as starting quarterback Jake Locker would go down with an injury and the season would be lost with him. Still, Locker's performance early in the year was a very good sign regarding his development as a pro quarterback. Locker is one of the most athletic signal callers in the league, and his development as a passer could turn him into one of the better players in the league at that position. There is a lot to be hopeful for as a Titans fan with Locker returning at full health this season. The offense will depend heavily on the performance of Locker and running back Chris Johnson. With a bevy of difficult road match-ups on the schedule this season, make sure you're there to cheer on the Titans.

Fan Experience

The National Football League is the most popular sports league in the United States of America, and fans all over the nation head out to stadiums to see their favorite teams hit the field on a weekly basis during the season. The Titans have a rabid fan base that loves to accompany them out on the road, and you can join them this season to see Tennessee play an away game. The Titans have some tough match-ups on the docket this season, and being able to win on the road is not an easy thing in this league. You'll have the chance to see how the Titans respond to a difficult playing environment, which is always a good way to learn about the mental makeup of a squad.

Tennessee Titans Trivia

Where did Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker attend college?

The answer is the University of Washington, where he starred as a dual-threat signal caller. Locker may have been the top pick in the NFL Draft has he entered during the year he was first eligible, but he elected to return to school for another season. Locker played well but did show some weaknesses the following season, causing him to slip to the eight spot in the draft when the Titans selected him. Locker possesses incredible physical abilities, as his arm strength and athleticism are great. The team is looking for him to improve his accuracy as a passer and his decision-making to become a complete quarterback in the National Football League.

Tennessee Titans History

The Tennessee Titans first took to the football field back in 1999 after moving from Houston, where the franchise was known as the Oilers. The Titans got right to business upon arriving in Nashville, making it all the way to the Super Bowl during their first season there. The Titans were unable to win the Super Bowl that season, but are hoping to return sometime soon to make another run at the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The fans of this team have shown that they are one of the more passionate fan bases in the league, and the team looks to win for them every time out.
