        The first thing that makes Terror Behind the Walls different from any other haunted house is the location. It is held at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which used to be a real working prison. Behind the walls, visitors will get to experience spots like Intake, Lock Down and the Infirmary. Terror Behind the Walls is sure to be unlike any other theater event you have attended before.

        While Terror Behind the Walls may be designed to scare visitors, there are truly some spooky facts about the Eastern State Penitentiary. Even while the penitentiary was still in operations, both inmates and officers reported sightings, and those have continued even after the penitentiary closed in 1971.
