Texas A&M Aggies have a long history of success in college basketball having won 19 conference championships and made
it to the College World Series 29 times. Despite all of this success on the field the Aggies have yet to win a College World
Series game and you can be sure that the team is hungry to become the first in school history to do so. Additionally, all
of those vaunted conference championships came before Texas A&M moved to the SEC last year and the program is eager to
leave their mark on their new conference and show the other universities that there is a new sheriff in town. In his eight
year, coach Rob Childress is well familiar with how things are run at Texas A&M as well as the lofty expectations of the
school's baseball team. With a talented roster combining an exciting crop of young players as well as some strong returning
leadership this could well be the year that the Aggies finally win their first College World Series game.
Nothing quite compares to the time honored tradition of taking in a baseball game. After all, there is a
reason it is referred to as America's Pastime. From the smell of the freshly cut grass to the National Anthem bellowing through
the stands and the crack of the bat as a hitter connects with a pitch, to the sight of a ball flying over the outfield wall
and the taste of a fresh hot dogs or Cracker Jacks, attending a baseball game is a a sensory experience like no other and
the memories it produces will last a lifetime. The ultimate family day or night out, a baseball game is the perfect bonding
experience whether seeing the game with family, friends, or co-workers. As the innings and pitches pile up everyone in attendance
can feel the intensity pick up as every pitch, run, and base runner, begin to matter more and more. By the time the seventh
inning stretch rolls around a break from the action is welcome just to settle the nerves and enjoy a traditional song before
getting right back to all the excitement for the final two and a half innings. As you file out of the stadium after the last
out you likely will already be wanting to start making plans for your next visit to the ballpark.
Aggies Southeastern Conference Baseball
The SEC Conference is often thought of as a powerhouse football conference,
and while this is true, the conference's history in college baseball should not be overlooked. Teams from the SEC are regulars
in the championship series of the College World Series, with LSU having been in the finals 16 times and won it all 6 times
ans South Carolina making an appearance 11 ties and winning it all twice. LSU went on a streak where they won five championships
between 1991 and 2000. Every game in the SEC is capable of being a legendary match up so be sure to get your tickets ASAP.
Texas A&M has fielded a baseball team every year since 1904 but their first official season was all
the way back in 1894. There was, however, no team from 1895 through 1903.
