Texas A&M Aggies Schedule in 2013-14

The Texas A&M Aggies are primed and ready to hit the hardwood this season in the search for victories on the basketball court. When you play in the Southeast Conference, nothing comes easy with such high quality opponents on the schedule week after week. The Aggies know that they need to bring their A game every week if they are going to rise to the top of the SEC standings. The Aggies have been a bit streaky this year, pulling off winning and losing streaks throughout the young season, but there is plenty of time left to make a run for the top of the ranks and secure a high seed for the SEC Tournament in March.

The road to the NCAA Tournament will not be an easy one for the Aggies, but they know that they have the talent and fan support to get them where they want to go. The Aggies will face a tough fight when the LSU Tigers come to Reed Arena in College Station, Texas. The Tigers are also in the middle of the pack in the SEC this season and this battle may have postseason tournament implications. LSU is coming off a great win against the Kentucky Wildcats and they are playing with a lot of confidence. The Aggies will need their home fans behind them if they are going to pass this hard test on February 12 at Reed Arena.

On March 8, the Texas A&M Aggies will play their final home game of the season at Reed Arena when they tip off against the Auburn Tigers. Three Seniors will be playing their final games in College Station, and the team and fans will want to send them off with a win. The Tigers are in the middle of a tough season, so they may be looking to play spoiler for a team like the Aggies, who are on the bubble. Reed Arena will be rocking for this final home game and the team will definitely feed off the fan's passion and spirit.

Texas A&M Aggies History

The Texas A&M basketball program goes back a long way, but things really started to come together in the 1960s when Shelby Metcalf took over. The Aggies would reach their first Sweet Sixteen in 1969, a feat that they have duplicated two more times. Fans of the Aggies hoops program have been treated to some incredible games over the years, and that's a big reason that this team boasts such a great fan base. The Aggies have made more than 10 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, and the team is hoping to add to that total this season. The Aggies have not yet advanced past the Sweet Sixteen round of the Big Dance, something that they are hoping to change as soon as possible Fans are eagerly waiting the program's first Final Four appearance, and perhaps it can occur this season.
