When THC front-man Big Dad Ritch met John Exall in the small Texas town of Denison, they knew they were destined for greatness. Originally from rival bands, the two became collaborators after getting to know each other on the commute from Denison to Dallas to play live shows. Soon the Texas Hippie Coalition was born and the two seasoned musicians were leaving their hometown in the Red River Valley, and traveling the country playing for anyone who would hear them. In 2008, the band released their independent album Pride of Texas, that was well-received and gained the group a loyal following. By 2009, the band's unique brand of outlaw rock caught the attention of executives at Carved Records, and THC was soon signed to a record deal. After a year of perfecting their sound, the band released their next album Rollin' in 2010, that hit No. 29 on the US music charts. Since then the band has been traveling the country, playing their signature sound and carrying the torch for classic rock bands that influenced THC's sound.
