The Texas Tech Red Raiders football team plays its home games at Jones AT&T Stadium, a venue located on the Texas Tech University campus. AT&T Stadium History

Ones AT&T Stadium is a great place to catch a college football game, and has been just that since it first opened back in 1947. The original version of the structure could accommodate about 27,000 fans for games, but that capacity has since grown to suit 60,000. This building has seen some great football over the years, and it will continue to. Historic Events

There have been many fantastic games played at this stadium over the years, and the Red Raiders certainly have a history of taking advantage of their home field. The Red Raiders have had an incredible 14 seasons in which they've gone undefeated at Jones AT&T Stadium. This venue was also the site of the Coaches All-America game, a postseason contest that served as one of the final games of the season until 1976. The first game ever played at AT&T Jones Stadium occurred on November 29th, 1947, when the Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys by a score of 14-6. The building set an attendance record in 2013 when they saw 61,836 people show up to a matchup with the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
