Siblings Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry are The Band Perry. Kimberly jumped right in to music, leading
her first band in high school when she was just 15. She involved her younger brothers in her gigs by enlisting them as roadies.
Eventually, Neil and Reid wanted to spread their wings, so they established their own band. Despite the fact that they lent
their talents to different groups, the brothers and sister still made time to play music at home. "I remember sitting out
on our front porch singing old Hank Williams and Bobby Gentry songs in three-part harmony, hoping to channel the spirits of
old country through musical seance while fighting off the southern Alabama mosquitoes," Kimberly said. "We always knew we'd
take the stage together - all we were waiting on was the right moment." As fate would have it, the Perry trio made the decision
to put their talents together. The Band Perry was hatched in the late summer of 2005 with their first major event serving
as the opener for Coca-Cola's "New Faces of Country" tour. Three years later, The Band Perry was introduced to Bob Doyle.
Doyle, who was Garth Brooks' manager, arranged The Band Perry to work with himself and Josh Pegram on crafting tunes in preparation
for a recording. Their efforts culminated into recordings that drew the interest of Republic Nashville's CEO Scott Borchetta
and President Jimmy Harnen. The Band Perry inked a deal with the label and issued their first track, "Hip to My Heart." The
tune scored the No. 20 spot on the country chart. Their sophomore track, "If I Die Young," cracked the country music chart
as well as the Billboard Hot 100. "You Lie," netted the No. 2 slot in 2011. Their eponymous album kept its momentum going
when "All Your Life" dropped at No. 1 and "Postcard from Paris" claimed the No. 6 spot. Their next album, Pioneer, arrived
in the spring of 2013. The album is recognized for the hits "Better Dig Two" and "DONE." Both singles received heavy airplay
and earned a presence on the country charts.
