About The Band Perry
The Band Perry is
a country music band comprised of siblings Kimberly Perry, Neil Perry, and Reid Perry. The band came about when brothers Reid
and Neil, then working as roadies, began to perform as an opening act for their sister Kimberly Perry, who was singing in
her own band. The siblings brought their talents together and The Band Perry was formed. They later caught the attention of
Republic Nashville, and they inked a record deal shortly after. By 2009, The Band Perry released their debut single, "Hip
to My Heart," which reached the number 20 position on the country singles chart. The debut single was followed up with "If
I Die Young," which proved to be phenomenally successful. The song reached the top of the Hot Country Songs chart, and it
went on to be certified several times platinum.
By October of 2010, The Band Perry's self-titled debut album was released,
which contained singles like "Hip to My Heart" and "If I Die Young," in addition to "All Your Life," "Postcard from Paris,"
and "You Lie." Backed by its popular singles, the album entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 4, and it sold over 50,000
copies during the first week of its release.
In 2012, The Band Perry returned to the studio to begin working on their
next album, "Pioneer." The album was released in April of 2013, and fans couldn't get enough of hits like "Done," "Better
Dig Two," "Don't Let Me Be Lonely," and "Chainsaw." With lead singer Kimberly Perry's powerful vocals, The Band Perry took
their music to the next level with this album, and they blurred the line between pop and country with catchy hooks and solid
rock sounds. Like the rest of their music, The Band Perry has managed to capture such a wide range of fans because they refuse
to pigeonhole their music, sliding from pop to country and back again with ease.
The Band Perry's Breakthrough
When The Band Perry released their self-titled debut record, they were launched to overnight success. Their songs
"If I Die Young" and "Hip to My Heart" quickly rose on the charts, and helped the album to eventually sell over 1,500,000
copies in the United States. Their second studio album, "Pioneer," was likewise a success, reaching number 1 on the Top Country
Albums chart in the U.S., and number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. "Pioneer" went on to become certified gold, and it spawned
hits like "Don't Let Me Be Lonely," "Chainsaw," and "Better Dig Two." In the wake of their incredible success, The Band Perry
have won a number of awards, including Academy of Country Music Awards for Top New Vocal Duo or Group, Top New Artist, and
