Whether they got the inspiration to call themselves the BoDeans from an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies or from rock
icons Bo Didley and James Dean, this band has been rocking stages since they first burst onto the music scene in the late
1970s. They have survived the music businesses for almost three decades and have come out on top with a new record, American
Made, which has garnered much success and provides the backdrop for their current tour. The BoDeans are the idyllic American
rock story, and they continue to play on, bringing their one-of-a-kind sound to audiences everywhere! Buy your concert tickets from StubHub, and be there to witness the BoDeans

The band was first formed by high school friends Kurt Neumann and Sam Llanas. After realizing they both had a similar interest
in music, they decided to begin writing songs together. Neumann was so serious about the two starting a band that he convinced
Llanas to drop out of college and pursue their music full time. By 1983, the band had a name-Da BoDeans-and began playing
around Milwaukee's East Side music scene. The next few years brought them a drummer and a bassist, and their first record
produced by T-Bone Burnett. The album received favorable reviews and was even awarded the honor of Best New American Band
by the readers of Rolling Stone magazine. Throughout the 80s the band experimented with different producers and
tried to find what sound worked best for them. Not finding what they were looking for, the band reunited with T-Bone Burnett
in the early 90s, and he helped The BoDeans produce their fifth album, Go Slow Down. The song "Closer to Free" on
the album was featured as the theme song for the TV show Party of Five, and became an instant hit. The song became
the band's biggest pop hit, reaching No. 16 on the U.S. Hot 100. Throughout the rest of the 90s and early 2000s, the band
produced more records that garnered favorable reviews and a fiercely loyal following of diehard fans. Their newest album,
American Made, narrates and celebrates life in America. And although the country has its problems, the overall theme
of the album is that America is still the greatest place on Earth. With soul-stirring lyrics and amazing musical skills, the
band gives fans something to cheer about. Buy The
