        Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, have never been known for playing it safe. With both their TV show and their movies, they have always tried to push the envelope, a trend that continues with their musical The Book of Mormon. The musical became a smashing success, earning 2011 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Nikki M. James), Best Direction of a Musical and many more. The Book of Mormon became one of the most coveted Broadway tickets on the market.

        The Book of Mormon

        The Book of Mormon is about two young Mormons who go to Africa on their first mission, only to learn that what they were taught in church doesn't equip them to face the brutal poverty there. The culture clash and the assumptions that these two missionaries arrive will earn some big laughs and some reflection on the way we see the world.  The Book of Mormon New York tickets were a huge hit with discerning Broadway theater fans.

To their surprise, Lopez was just as interested in making a musical that would explore Mormonism, religion, and that confusing moment when religious doctrine meets the real world. The show is now making waves at cities all over!
