About The Both
The Both is an indie rock band
that combines the talents of Aimee Mann and Ted Leo. Aimee previously provided vocals for the band 'Til Tuesday during the
1980s, and they were known for their new wave hits like "Voices Carry." After her time with 'Til Tuesday, Aimee Mann embarked
on a solo career. She also gained recognition for her contributions to the soundtrack for the film Magnolia, which earned
her nominations for a Grammy Award and an Academy Award. Ted Leo is known for his work with Chisel, Citizens Arrest, Ted Leo
and the Pharmacists, and more.
Aimee Mann and Ted Leo first got together when they were on the same tour in 2012. During
a performance at Milwaukee's Pabst Theater, Ted Leo served as Aimee Mann's opening act, and they later collaborated onstage
together. By December of 2012, the duo started writing songs together, and they later wrote the song "Milwaukee" that described
the events surrounding their initial collaboration.
In March of 2013, The Both had performed their first show together
as a duo, and their self-titled debut album was released in April of 2014. As the two are both big names in the indie scene,
their debut album was met with praise, especially by longtime fans of their prior work. Their album entered the Billboard
