In the early ‘90s, it seemed like you couldn't escape The Breeders single “Cannonball.” The college
rock staple became required listening for those in the alt-rock crowds. Unfortunately, the album it was on was the band's
last for the decade. The good news? Concert tickets to see them live are now available.
The Breeders were just a side project when they formed. Kim Deal was still playing bass in legendary alt-rock band The
Pixies, and guitarist Tanya Donelly was still with Throwing Muses. But when Donelly left and The Pixies broke up, it became
a full-fledged band. After their sophomore effort, “Last Splash,” band members turned their attentions elsewhere.
The band toured a bit and recorded a few songs in the interim, but for the most part, all was silent until they released
their first album in almost a decade in 2002. In 2008, they released a new album as well: “Mountain Battles. The
Breeders tickets for their tour supporting the album are available now.
