The Clarks Background
The Clarks have been rocking out since the early 1980s, when Scott Blasey,
Dave Minarik Jr., and Rob James started jamming together under the names "New Boots and Panties" and then "The Administration".
When Greg Joseph joined the group in 1986, the quartet decided to rename itself "The Clarks". The band initially performed
at small local venues like The Coney Island Bar and at numerous frat parties, where they were popular because of their great
covers of songs by bands like U2, Joe Jackson, and The Long Ryders. There was never any doubt about The Clarks' talent, as
they were constantly lauded for their great rock vibe and instrumental skills, and even took second place in a Pittsburgh
songwriting competition early on in their career.
The Clarks found significant success in Pennsylvania, where they became
extremely popular due to their incessant touring in the region. Eventually they became so popular that they ventured out on
grander tours, making stops along the East Coast and in the Southwest. Across the country, The Clarks have packed thousands
of people into venues, and tens of thousands of fans into stadiums during their Pennsylvania shows. In 2005, The Clarks performed
at Milwaukee's Summerfest where they shared the stage with John Mayer, OAR, and co-headlined with Three Doors Down.
Clarks have become so successful and popular throughout their career that they have made several appearances on TV talk shows,
including the Late Show with David Letterman, ESPN's Cold Pizza, and during the intermission of the 2011 NHL Winter Classic.
Their song "Let It Go" was featured in the 2001 film Summer Catch and their song "Better Off Without You" was a staple track
at the closing credits of The Anna Nicole Show. The Clarks even recorded a song for Toyota's TV and radio campaign called
"Life Is All About the Ride". With so much acclaim and recognition under their belts, The Clarks have undoubtedly become one
of Pennsylvania's biggest rock groups. Now you have the chance to see this phenomenal band perform live in their hometown

at practice one day.
