Format concert tickets are available, and this extremely tongue-in-cheek band has been garnering attention and loyal fans for several years. The band falls into the rock and roll genre, but everything about what they do is intended to poke a degree of fun at the "establishment," and The Format tickets are a chance to take in a high level of music and a healthy dose of humor.
The band was formed in 2001 in Phoenix by Sam Means and Nate Ruess. Their intention, besides to play music, was to establish themselves as separate from what they believed were "mass-produced" bands that all sounded alike. Their very name is a bit of a jab at industry norm. They've released two studio albums and three EP's, but many of their cuts are only sold on the Internet or at their shows. This is a unique band in every way, so see them while they're still on the rise.
