The band began in the early 90s, and gained national attention with their first album Margaritaville. But the road wasn't a smooth ride for Rod Hodges, Joe Cabral, Rene Coman and Doug Garrison. There were a lot of obstacles to overcome, including having to relocate to Austin after Hurricane Katrina. The flood washed away their past in their self-appointed hometown of New Orleans, and they essentially had to rebuild and stick together to keep the band alive. But they eventually returned to the Crescent City, and have become the voice of a city who has had their share of downtrodden days as well. Their infusion of rock, swamp rock, Americana and chicano styles make them a unique band that defies convention. Their new album is a testament to their strength through adversity, calling to mind the words from a tune called "Blues for Juarez" that says "We rode the back roads from sin to sin."
