The Kalob Griffin Band began their career like many other bands, playing local shows and gaining exposure. They got their local big break when they performed a live session on a classic rock show at Penn State's student-run radio station, WKPS. After their big session, the band got a regular gig at State College's Café 210 West, and opened for artists like Matt Pond PA. They caught the attention of emerging British singer and songwriter, Bobby Long and embarked on two national tours as the supporting band for the up-and-coming artist. And in 2012, The Kalob Griffin Band began touring as their own outfit, gaining a loyal fan base and attention from critics. The band has played to over 150 shows to packed crowds of thousands of fans, including the WXPN Music Festival in Philadelphia and the Mile High Music Festival in Denver. Their lyrical style is reminiscent of old-fashioned general narratives like that of Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen. And they come to each performance wanting to invite fans to be a part of their musical family. They're a close-knit group that stands for hard work, good times and building a community.
