For several years, Illinois indie-rock band The Blackouts won over the local scene with their brash guitar rhythms. After releasing their second album, entitled In Living Blue, the band decided to take on the name as their own moniker. Now soldiering on as The Living Blue, they've continued to develop a reputation for catchy garage rock.

The Living Blue Tickets - About The Living Blue

The Living Blue name grew out of In Living Blue, the band's album. The band's record earned them significant notice from critics, who saw a ready comparison to The Strokes. The band eventually went on to participate in a national talent contest organized by Steve Van Zandt, known for his garage rock show Little Steven's Garage.
