in 1994 in Chicago. Since 1997, the Lovehammers have independently released five full-length albums and EPs and one major
label LP. They also appearance on VH1, where they played live acoustic versions of several their songs: "Trees," "The Tunnel,"

When they first formed, Lovehammers band members Marty Casey, Bobby Kourelis and his younger brother Dino Kourelis were
already friends from playing on the same Little League team in their youth. In their teenage years, the guys formed a cover
band called "Swinging Lovehammers," along with their friends Ben Kelly (guitar) and John Murdoch (lead vocalist). In 1997,
the Swinging Lovehammers released their first full-length album, Ultrasound, revealing their trademark "unpretentious rock"
sound to the world. In 1999, the band released Demolition, a four song EP, featuring popular songs Real Man, Give It Up, Counterfeit
and Confusion. Later that year, their song "Rain on The Brain" received an award at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Suddenly,
their rock tickets were in high-demand!
By 2000, Swinging Lovehammers had a large fan following throughout the Midwest region and won a series of Battle of The
Bands contents. The group played at many established venues and festivals, such as House of Blues, Summerfest and Lincoln's
Fest. It wasn't long before their songs could be heard on mainstream radio stations. But the best way to hear the Lovehammers'
music is live!
In 2000, Swinging Lovehammers released their second album, L'strange and their second EP How We Live. Later that year,
they officially shortened their name to, simply, the Lovehammers. In 2003, lead guitarist Ben Kelly left the band and was
replaced by Billy Sawilchik. That same year, the Lovehammers released their third full-length album entitled Murder on My
Mind, featuring the hit songs, Wait For No One, Better Off (Walk Away) and Eyes Can't See, which form a thematic trilogy.
In 2009, Lovehammers released a new album titled "Heavy Crown." And opened for the Wallflowers at the Taste of Chicago festival.
The band's latest album, Set Fire, was released in 2012. Today you can listen to all the band's most popular songs
