One of the band's most popular mashups is entitled Michael meets Mozart. The piece takes
the masterpieces of musical master Mozart and fuses them with the iconic songs and beats of Michael Jackson's music. Although
it sounds as if several instruments are playing at the same time, the mashup only contains the piano, cello, mouth percussion
and bass drum, as well as 100 recorded tracks. The song was meant to be a tribute to both influential artists.
The group was formed in 2011 in St. George, Utah. Paul Anderson owned a piano shop in St. George and met
Jon Schmidt when he came in to ask if he could practice for an upcoming concert in Anderson's store. Anderson agreed and the
two became friends. Soon, Schmidt and Anderson were working on their first collaboration, along with Steven Sharp Nelson and
Al Van Der Beek. They used music, humor and videography to create something completely unique. They began posting their videos
to YouTube, and were soon gaining a considerable following.
They quickly became a huge hit through YouTube, when they
posted videos of renditions and mashups of popular songs accompanied by professional-looking video shots. The Piano Guys quickly
generated a massive online following and went on to become one of the most talked about bands on the web. Over one million
people subscribe to their YouTube channel and the numbers keep multiplying by the minute. Their ingenious takes on the music
of Mozart, Michael Jackson, Bach and John Williams (Star Wars) has made them famous. Their video entitled Cello Wars, that
included the theme music from the Star Wars films, received more than 14 million views.
And although they call themselves
The Piano Guys, this band of musically-gifted fathers actually only includes one piano player. There's also a cellist and
three other talented artists who make the magic happen. Covering everything from Rock to Rachmaninoff, critics and audiences
alike can't get enough of their rich sound that enlivens contemporary pop hits in bold ways and uplifts them like only live
instruments can. Their second album, The Piano Guys, reached No. 1 on the Billboard New Age Albums and Classical Albums charts
in 2012, and their holiday album is already a favorite with fans. Their music video of "Angels We Have Heard on High" has
already received more than three million views. It shows The Piano Guys making music with a piano in conventional ways and
very unconventional ways. These talented musicians are always thinking outside of the box, and you never know what they'll
The group of out-of-the-box thinkers never dreamed they would be as
successful as they've become. They were just a bunch of musicians getting together to create fun and entertaining music and
videos for people to enjoy. Now, they are one of the most sought-after musical acts in the country. Their success was seemingly

collectively more than 293 million times. They are touring the country with their one-of-a-kind act and performing their most

Although it is often times just pianist
and a cellist sharing the stage, their enormous stage presence and amazing talent fills the entire room with sound and excitement.
As they play, the musicians seem to be playing off of each other, almost in competition to see who can make the most daring
and most complicated music. Not only are they playing some of the most iconic and most popular music of all time, but they
perform it in such a way that their audience is mesmerized and completely entranced in the experience. Other than whoops and
hollers of admiration, you will not hear a single word from the audience when they are listening to the hauntingly beautiful
concertos and the upbeat soundtrack masterpieces.
