It takes a lot of talent to be a success on Broadway. Unfortunately, Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom have none. But they do
have a shrewd plan. They want to create a boondoggle so large, that a legal loophole will all the show's producers to keep
all the profit when it bombs. Their "hit" musical? "Springtime for Hitler." Get The
Producers tickets to watch this outrageous plan unravel.
The Producers scored a major hit on Broadway in 2001, but before it was a musical, it was a hit comedy film written by
Mel Brooks. The original movie came out in 1968 and starred Zero Mostel as Bialystock and Gene Wilder as Bloom. When the film
was adapted for the stage, their roles were filled by Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick respectively.
It's been a decade since The Producers was a hit on Broadway. But you don't have to travel all the way to New York to see
the show. It's coming to the Fred
Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts. This is your chance to see the production on a stage a little closer to you, so
don't pass up the chance to get a good seat.
