Listening to The Prom will incite anything but awkward high school memories of taffeta and spiked punch - this indie piano
pop group lead by James Mendenhall started recording music in 2000 and has since toured the nation, opening gigs for Death
Cab for Cutie and others. With sweet references to Elton John The Prom tickets concert
dates are for everyone - no tour date required.
The Prom isn't just a dance, it's also the emo indie pop outfit based in Omaha, Nebraska and lead by pianist James Mendenhall.
A veteran musician in the local indie roots rock scene, Menderhall recruited David Broecker and studio engineer Joel Brown
to form a band in 1999. The Prom's debut was released on Panther Fact Records a year later, earning them opening acts with
major indie pop stars.
The Prom's concert tickets are on sale, so what are you waiting for? If you loved the
late '70s tracks of Elton John or the ballads of the Black Heart Procession, you're going to love The Prom - a small town
group turned national stars that have promoting their latest effort all over the country. Following their debut, The Prom
released the sophomore "under the same stars" with Barsuk and have been seeing stars since.
