The Ritz Ybor City History
The Ritz Ybor was originally built in 1917 when it was known
as the Rivoli Theatre. At that time, you could catch a play for 15 to 35 cents!
By the mid-1940s, the building underwent
a renovation and assumed the Ritz Theatre name until the 1970s. In 1973, the building was included in the Register of Historic
Places. It was additionally designated as part of the National Historic Landmark District in 1989.
The Capitano family
bought the building in 1988, which housed the Masquerade Nightclub from 1992 to 2006. The Masquerade mainly hosted alternative
rock music acts and a coveted sink-or-swim '80s night on Thursdays. The Masquerade closed its doors in 2006.
Ybor, which opened in 2008, went through a dramatic $2 million renovation to assume the spot as one of Tampa's foremost concert
and special events venues.
The Ritz Ybor City Events Hosted
The Ritz Ybor is able to accommodate numerous
events of any size, including private parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, live concerts, birthday parties, trade shows, corporate
dinners, meetings, trade shows and fundraisers.
Since its inception in 2008, The Ritz Ybor has welcomed headlining events
like the annual Ken Walters' Celebrate Sinatra event, the BET Black Carpet Party, the annual Gorrie Gala and the 2009 Maxim
Super Bowl Party. High-profile concerts hosted in the past have included The Smashing Pumpkins, DJ Tiesto, Ben Harper and
Guests of The Ritz Ybor can expect the same top-notch acts for the remainder of 2013 and for the start of

The Ritz Ybor City Seating
The Ritz Ybor City venue features an innovative lighting system, full-service bars and a large catering prep
The Grand Foyer serves as the main entrance to The Ritz Ybor, inviting guests in to admire the spectacular chandeliers
and the original terrazzo flooring. The Grand Foyer is able to host 160 guests for standing room and 125 for theater-style
The Ritz Ybor is additionally comprised of three rooms, which include the Theatre Ballroom, The Royal Room
and The Rivoli Room.
Coined as the premier room of The Ritz Ybor, The Theatre Ballroom can accommodate 380 guests for
table seating; 1,114 guests for standing room; 600 guests for theater-style seating; and 49 guests for mezzanine balcony.
Ritz Ybor's Royal Room, which features a removable stage and full liquor bar, is able to host 292 guests for standing room;
200 guests for theater-style seating; and 110 guests for table seating.
And last, but certainly not least, The Rivoli
Room, includes an outside private entrance as well as three hi-definition LCD screens and a full liquor bar. The Rivoli Room
is able to host 300 guests for standing room and 120 guests for table seating.

The Ritz Ybor City Trivia
Did you know
that The Ritz Ybor recently merged with the CZAR Vodka Bar and Nightclub? Yes, it's true. The former 1,250-guest capacity
night club and live music venue, CZAR packed its bags and made the move! But not to worry, the CZAR's weekly parties will
still be held, including Atomic Bombed Wednesdays and People's Party Saturdays.
And not to worry; The Ritz Ybor remains
true to its standing in the community as "Tampa's premier special events venue."
